Travel in the Philippines is generally easy, though buses and ferries can get busy. Watch out for Friday and Saturday afternoons and Monday morning travel, plus holiday periods such as Christmas, New Year, Sinulog and – especially – Easter. Our advice for Easter is “don’t plan long distance travel”. If you really must travel then book as much as possible well in advance since all public transport and accommodation will be very very busy!
